The Slick Rock Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, was chosen as one of the six best inland resort golf courses in the book "America's Greatest Golfing Resorts". . . .18 holes of golf you'll never tire of; 154 acres meandering 6,839 yards over gently rolling terrain interrupted by 71 bunkers, challenging lakes, and Slick Rock Creek.

The Texas State Open has been hosted here along with several USGA qualifying events and other local professional tournaments.

Slick Rock embodies the Robert Trent Jones, Sr., philosophy of "Hard Par, Easy Bogey." The course is characterized by five sets of tees enabling the course to be continually changing from day to day.
