During its grand opening weekend, more than 700 people passed through the facility. A state-of-the-art medical treatment and health care center was a community vision that was realized through the efforts of the Lake Area Health Center (LAHC) Foundation. The center became affiliated with the Llano Memorial Healthcare System in January 2003.
